Our aims are to:
- Provide Animal Welfare education and support to the local community, particularly with regards to abandoned and stray animals.
- Provide education and support on the benefits of having a pet and adopting an abandoned/stray animal.
- Help with short term care for abandoned animals and help them find new homes and families.
- Setup and manage Animal Welfare campaigns via local media and social media.
- Promote the benefits on Neutering animals.
- Work with the local Municipality to:
(1) Build a team and provide financial support for care of abandoned and stray animals.
(2) Promote and manage neutering programs and provide general Animal Welfare education. - Promote Animal Welfare via local business, tourism and schools.
- Liaise with other Animal Shelters and Animal Welfare organisations.
- Provide digital platforms to allow local people to communicate on Animal Welfare issues and alerts.
Please note:
- We are NOT a stray animal shelter. We CANNOT create spaces for stray animals.
- We CANNOT always find families that want to adopt animals, and there has never been a promise that we can save all the strays of Kissamos, but we will try our very best to help.
- It is not the responsibility of the team (or any member of the team) to care for, find a permanent home or people to host any animals posted here. However we will endeavor to provide help on all animal related issues
