How to transfer the ownership of a dog to a new owner
- Ask the new owner to download the attached Questionnaire and Adoption form in the required language (Greek or English)
- Ask the new owner to complete their information on both forms.
- The owner should message/email/show an AKF volunteer the completed documents.
- AFK volunteer to ensure that the adopter answers the questions about the welfare of the dog with good answers and discuss any problems with the new owner
- AFK/new owner to contact a vet for the adoption agreement to be completed and transfer of the microchip into the new owners name. Where possible the dog and new owner should be present.
- Vet to handover the healthbook and microchip certificate to the new owner
- Once completed AFK volunteer to present the adoption form to the demos for their signature and approval.
- AFK to take a scan/photo or copy of the report and send it to the new owner. AFK to add into the database
